It is time for all of us as citizens of the greatest country on earth to come together and work for the betterment of our country. While that may an obvious statement, do we really believe it? Four years ago, when Trump (a citizen–not a politician) won the Presidency, the far left started and has continued, until even now, criticizing President Trump about everything. Trump, when he was elected in 2016, was somehow the cause of all our problems, according to the professional politicians. Those same politicians who have been in office for thirty plus years and have not accomplished much if anything except hatred, division, and dependency.

Our welfare system, started in the 60s by the Democrats, was originally to help those who only had social security as an income, as well as those who really could not help themselves. Now some sixty years later, that same system is a go-to for many people who choose to be lazy and not seek work of any kind. If you really want to know the truth, Democrats want it that way so that they can depend on your vote to help them stay in office. It helps keep you dependent on them for help. It sounds good to someone who has worked for nothing, that you will give them a monthly check plus an EBT card to purchase food for their family.

What the Democrats do not want is for citizens in our country to be independent and not have to rely on anyone for help, especially a political party. If the country turns to this thought process then they will not need a political party to help them think or do for themselves. What a wonderful idea! People can think for themselves and not depend on someone else to tell them what to do or how to act. This is a concept that has been discouraged for many years so that people can depend on the government for all their needs.

The fact of the matter is, we need a government to protect us from harm from other countries, as well as from dangerous individuals in our own country. Our government should be our protector, not our provider. Why do you think our taxes are so high?

Our government should work toward programs and policies that would make our country a better place to live, work, and play. What we have, however, is a government that has political parties that cannot get along with each other, that refuse to work with each other, and have private agendas that suit their own interests instead of those of the American people.

I am hopeful that we do not see hidden agendas come out after the next president is sworn into office. Only time will tell. I am tired of politicians putting others down to make themselves look good or lie about each other to hopefully make people follow their party instead of another.

It is funny that when Trump was elected president, the Democratic party did everything they could to divide this country. Now that they think Biden won, they want everyone to be at peace with one another. They stoked the division in this country, but blamed the Republicans and Trump for the division, deflecting any blame for the harm they have caused to America.

When we quit looking for favors from a party that has promised so many, and instead work toward making this country a better place, then we will see results. Until this happens, you must decide whether you want to be part of the continuing problem or part of the better solution.
