The leaders of the American Revolution were not poor. They were, as the leftists love to adversely say, “rich, old, white men”. However, these men wanted freedom and opportunity for all, not just the elites and upper class as was the existing standard. They rallied fellow landowners, business owners, and those with almost nothing to join a revolution. The classes were united by a dream of freedom, self-governance, and individual responsibility. Together, both rich and poor fought against an overwhelming force on their march to victory. Does that sound like a current tale? It should.
Donald Trump has been in the public eye since the 1980’s. His dealings with real estate and casinos, then onto reality TV made him a household name. His business experience gave him keen insight into international trade and negotiations. Eventually, he forayed into politics with a couple of unsuccessful Presidential campaign bids.
In 2008, Barrack Obama was elected to the Oval Office. His two-term administration, focused on leftist/socialist ideals and global uncertainty, projected weakness. (“Red Line” in Syria, bowing to the Saudi king, open US southern border, trading 5 terrorists for an American traitor, North Korea’s unchecked aggression, etc.) The actions and politics of Obama, the “loony left” and the RINO right (Republican In Name Only) created the desire for a non-political candidate that displayed strength of character, savvy, and love of country.
The public denouncements, disbelief and ridicule of Donald Trump as Presidential candidate was contagious to the media and its loyal automatons. Only when Trump became Republican frontrunner, and eventual nominee, did the left realize the public support he had. His brazen, in-your-face, no-holds-bar attacks and rebuttals were a desired trait after the 25+ years of submissiveness exhibited by the Republicans since Reagan was in the White House. Trump continued to call out politicians on both sides of the aisle.
One of the main “negative” attacks during his first campaign was that he was “rich” and could not relate to everyday people. This has been proven false. To know that this is true, one must merely watch coverage of his rallies. It is packed with blue collar workers. Donald Trump has spent his life listening to people and solving problems. Should it not be considered that he would do the same thing while President?
Another point is that he won over many union voters, even getting the endorsement of some. This is extraordinary since unions and Democrats are, as Forrest Gump said, “like peas and carrots”. Many union members broke with their unions and voted for Trump.
This election cycle may increase the bond between the New York billionaire and the Anywhere, USA common man. The driving factor behind this is the exposure of corruption in our government and elected officials, as well as the political bias of major agencies. The everyday American can see the two-tiered justice system as plain as day, even as the mainstream media tries to downplay it. Democrats and their families are caught committing crimes and are slapped on the wrist or not even charged. Meanwhile, “anonymous” accusations are made against conservatives and the full might of the US Government launches into action first, then investigation.
Joe Biden kept documents from when he was VP, and they were found in a garage. There has still been no action taken. The investigation has been slow walked. Conversely, six months later, Donald Trump had his home was raided and charges already filed for documents from when he was President. During his time in office, he had the ultimate authority to declassify them, unlike a Vice-President.
Now we are finding out more and more about Hunter Biden’s foreign “dealings” and collecting of vast sums of money for which he had no skills or experience. The money has been claimed as making its way to “the big guy”. That is not even talking about his coke addiction and supposed pedophilia. (Google the laptop pictures).
The 2024 election is more important than any previous one. Our country needs to fix our broken/bias government, resuscitate our economy, restore/reinforce our freedoms, and re-establish the strength of the United States to the world. We, the “not rich” people, should support the modern-day Founding Father, the “rich, old, white guy” who believes in America, the General Washington of our time who is willing to fight against the odds for us—Donald J Trump. He has overcome every challenge thrown at him, except a questionable-at-best 2020 election with unaccountable mail-in ballots. It is time for us to rectify that for him.
