Letting the Monkeys Run the Zoo

Trying to impeach a former President. No burial for Donald Trump in Arlington cemetery. Banning the name Trump from park benches in California. These actions have been the focus of many Democrats during a pandemic, pending oil price crisis and re-emerging immigration problem.

Since the turn of the millennium, when Bush beat Gore in a contested election, there has been less lawmaking going on in the country every year. The exception was 2009-2010 when Obama had total Democrat control of both houses of Congress, allowing him to enact liberal legislation and cram Obamacare down the throats of American taxpayers.

Our country does not even have a budget anymore! We use Continuing Resolutions to keep our government free to blow our hard-earned money on pet programs, grants to other countries and ever-increasing public handouts, including “stimulus checks”. Somehow, even after becoming a free nation by rejecting a king, we now have an executive (Joe Biden) who is ruling us by decree (50 Executive Orders and counting). The “Era of Legislation” will soon come to an end.

I have come to a point where I can no longer blame Biden, Pelosi, or Schumer or any other lifelong, career politician for their actions. Wasting taxpayer dollars, taking care of donors and special interests and talking in platitudes while giving scant specifics, is what these “sucklers of the public teat” do. You could no more blame a wild animal for killing prey than you could a Democrat for appeasing the leftist with bad policies for Americas.

The blame only lies with two groups; the public who continues to re-elect these officials time and time again, regardless of their ineffectiveness, and the media which enables, covers for and excuses these professional campaigners merely because their ideologies align.

The bad news is that the two responsible parties feed off each other. It is a conservative-hating loop. When the media bashes a Republican, sometimes psychically assuming they know his/her intentions, the public wants to believe and continues to watch that show/personality on a regular basis, thus enabling them to continue to feed the public the same lies he/she wants to hear.

Unless the public takes their citizens’ responsibility seriously and does even the scantest bit of research into the bias articles, late night “news comedians” and tweets of celebrities, the misleading of the American population will continue. The information is out there to prove that leftist-encouraged liberal policies and programs are what is ruining our economy and dividing/breaking down our society.

Here is a modern-day parable for you: The donkeys (Democrats and leftists) will continue their attempt at the ruination of the American jungle, encouraged by the loud and aggressive monkeys (media). We need the strength of the elephant (Republicans and conservatives) to push them both back.

Only when the American public becomes less interested in detractions and distractions, and more interested in substance, will our country restore itself by removing the above-referenced jackasses from office.

  1. Hi John:

“Unless the public takes their citizens’ responsibility seriously and does even the scantest bit of research into the bias articles, late night “news comedians” and tweets of celebrities, the misleading of the American population will continue.”

It would be news to “the public” that they have a role to play in this. Look at the margins that Pelosi and Co. win by. There used to be a thing called splitting your ticket.

It’s very sad to see this once great nation in decline. Does a democracy have a “sell by” date before it turns socialist?
